Ready to transform your part with a flawless chrome finish? Follow these easy steps!
Step 1: Prepare Your Part
Clean: Ensure your part is clean and free from dust and debris.
Prime: For the best results, your surface should be extremely smooth and primed. A perfect
base sets the stage for a spectacular finish!
Step 2: Apply the Reflections 2K Black Gloss chemical resistant.
Product Application: Use Liquid Chrome Basecoat designed specifically for this process.
One Application Only: Apply one smooth coat for a glossy, wet-looking finish.
Tip: The wetter the Basecoat, the better the chrome finish will be!
Dry Time:
Air Dry: Let your part air dry for at least 24 hours at 80°F for best results.
Oven Dry: Alternatively, you can bake it at 120°F for 45 min. Remember, the drier your part, the
shinier and more reflective the chrome will be!
Step 3: Apply Liquid Chrome
Application Method: You can use a brush, spray gun, or aerosol can to apply Liquid Chrome –
just remember, only one coat!
Avoid Milky Finish: Applying multiple coats will lead to a milky chrome effect, so stick to one.
Dry Time:
Air Dry: Allow your part to air dry for at least 4 hours to 24 hrs. at room temperature (80°F).
Application Tips:
Brush Technique: Dip your brush in the chrome. Make lightweight, smooth strokes.
Spray Gun Method: Start with light dusting, then wait 10-15 seconds before applying more. For
faster drying, use air to speed up the process.
Aerosol Application: Just a thin coat is all you need for a perfect chrome finish.
Optional Step: Topcoat
After 24 hrs, you may choose to apply a topcoat, but it’s not required.
